The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine is seeking a Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Candidates must have a Doctorate of Medicine (or equivalent) and be board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology. Candidates must also have or be eligible for a Massachusetts medical license. The Department has a proud tradition of providing high quality obstetric anesthesia care. The medical center averages over 1200 deliveries per year, out of which a significant number are high-risk patients. Over 80% of patients chose regional anesthesia for their deliveries.

The Department provides anesthesia services for OU-Health, which includes pediatric and adult towers, surgery center, and National Cancer Institute designated Stephen Cancer Center.

Rush currently performs 2,200 deliveries a year with significant expansion projected for 2021. The Department of Anesthesiology at Yale University School of Medicine is seeking anesthesiologists for the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Yale School of Medicine performs over 5000 deliveries per year.  We provide a full range of state of the art obstetrical anesthesia services, including exposure to all varieties of high-risk obstetric patients; as well as ample clinical exposure to normal pregnancies.  Approximately 85% of our patients receive regional analgesia for labor and delivery.  Faculty are involved with clinical care, bedside and didactic teaching of residents, consultation and collaboration with obstetricians regarding our high-risk patients, as well as a clinical research program with opportunities to complete several research projects and present findings at national meetings.  We have an ACGME accredited fellowship program for one fellow.

We offer the opportunity for collaborative research efforts with our obstetrical and neonatology departments.
